Holy grenade, NovaLogic is still alive and kicking! I could've sworn they were dead for the last three years (in my eyes for sure), ever since I stopped caring about their increasingly crappy Delta Force games. But maybe - just maybe - taking a huge break will turn out for the best.

For now, it seems that NovaLogic is working on something called Delta Force: Angel Falls (or "Black Ops" according to other reports), as teased on the company's front page; good thing we have CryoCopy to freeze it in place, otherwise it redirects you after a couple of seconds. The splash image has a clear "2008" splashed on it, (mis?)leading us to think that we might be sniping our asses once more by the end of this year. Just like good ol' times. But on what platforms, through what virtual locations, and for what purpose? Such details, sadly, still elude us.

The Delta Force had better be strong with this one!

Black Ops name was the original idea till they realized that Black Ops was the name of one of the MODs created for there BHD game. So It was a conflict with the name. As for the platform if they dont release a PC version of this it will NOT go over well with the gamers and will possibly bankrupt the company.

If it really comes down to facing bankrupcy, they can always start making Guitar Hero-like crap games. Imagine one with a military theme; yeah, that'll blow away this screwed up market.

But seriously, I think they had their moment with the Voxel techonology in the 2D-to-3D transitioning days. It was a great opportunity they caught, but I'm not sure how they could make a comeback now. I'd love to be surprised, though.

Nova has purchased some new game making technology. Here is a link to some SS's of what the new game will look like. --->

This game better keep up with the competitors. I've been playing Nova games since DF2 and I started drifting out after BHD. Now I've been playing Call of Duty 4 since it came out and this game has me hooked. For Nova to get me back it needs to either match or pass the graphical clarity and detail that Call of Duty 4 has. I like the fact that the maps look real and that kind of detail is missing from Nova.

been playing since df2.....I thought dflw had the most accurate gameplay for the time......

I currently play dfx.......the weapons are unrealistic....

the maps are boring....

the cheaters are everywhere..... too many custom mods....

I am giving them one last chance......

they used to have a rank front of the name....which was let you know if you were playing a veteran player or a noob....
KRUwrote on Mar 4, 2008 at 07:39
Well we have been nova whores for since df to df2 to lw to bhd to dfx to JO along with most of the mods....This is your last friggin chance nova...we also are playing COD4 right the COD graphics, engine, and game play...servers? player rank and arcadish aspect detract some but the game rocks. Where nova has always done it right is with the company owned free servers with stats and ranking(that takes longer than 2 weeks)that usually took a good 5 to 7 months to get the equivalent of 5 star general...but with the company owned servers ...they still lacked commitment to police the cheaters though they made a solid effort but couldnt keep up with the hackers. The nova community is a strong group and they need to step up....we will see

how about independent real LAN coop play , i still have buddys over almost every weekend to play war games , tried with some of the latest that nova had released , was really pisses that Xtreme couldnt lan play without connecting to nova first , being i had a house full of people and satelite internet , was a total joke , we all trashed xtreme right then and there ......
sygyswrote on Mar 12, 2008 at 15:28
you better buy the game then download it. then there wouldnt have been a problem plying it on lan. its a smart thing nova did! Finnaly some real protection against the download noobs that dont want to support the game makers!
anonymouswrote on Mar 27, 2008 at 21:25
reply to sygys , Maybe you didnt read you internet NOOB , it says satelite internet and if anyone has ever tried to DL anything of any size knows of there 169 meg a day FAP policy downloading a hacked copy would have been a nightmare , all copies were legit . if you knew what you was talking about , there WASNT a factory coop that supported lan play

I Have spoke to a guy who is inside Novalogic who did not say exactly but the basics are dont expect this game for 18 months, from what i understand Nova have problems at the moment with lack of staff and funds to develop the game thats why there is so little official information arround
Fariswrote on May 17, 2008 at 13:53
18 months of waiting would be pretty reasonable, thanks for the update.

delta force is one of the best games ever made. i have played just about everything out there for game play and this is it. now there is another game named total annihalation that you should also be aware of. these top all games ever made in the industry of games. look at the game play, how its structured, and you will find perfection. all other games were made from these mods. all games now a days are rehashed bull crap. the old games are the best of the best. they are what created what other games you play. it is progression. kinda like a tool song.
moounit93wrote on Jul 6, 2008 at 01:14
delta froce 1 waz the first fps ive played. the games are great and rly fun. Does anyone know any detalis about the new engine they are suppossed to be creating
Sweeperwrote on Aug 5, 2008 at 00:45
Well, it must be better than DFX...the sluggish weapon changes & slow ass reloads... the cheaters w MODS everywhere... This new game should be made so it CAN NOT BE MODIFIED or it will be quickly ruined like DF1-DFX...
these days with so many cheats for games, lets just make a game that is a game, and not a cheater platform. Make All Players Equal in abilities.
I have been playing DF since 1998.

novalogic bans people for no reason? i dought it
they should ban more of you idiots
all you idiots do is think your cool by swearing, bunch of losers
i like the games but the people who chat are mostly neanderthals

Our Squad has been playing Delta Force from the start
from DF1 to JO and all the mods in between right now most of us have been playing COD4 in the meantime, COD4 as far as graphic quality in a fps is as about as good as it gets right now, if Nova doesn't top this one they wont be around much longer, if you look at their past history they havent been real good in the support area, as far as cheating is concerned game developers have relied on PunkBuster and they blow! there are 1000 different cheats out there for COD4 that PunkBuster doesnt detect if you make the game good from the start you dont need to mod it! oh and hey anonymous it's Neandertal and doubt just thought I'd let you know!
Bravo-9wrote on Aug 31, 2008 at 05:05
DFX was just a copycat of JO. For those that have DFX and JO try taking the JO engine and put it on the DFX folder. Notice how it works so perfectly. I hope DFAF better not be a copycat of Joint ops or DFX.

Dear Readers,

I have been playing Novalogic games since Battlefield Vietnaum i have both Escalation and Typhoon rising, and a couple battlefield games, i just came into this issue recently where i could not login to my account, so i tried to do a password recovery several times and did not recieve a email from them via the game and also as well the site, it seems either the database is fried or well the QMail they use is dead. And As for Tech Support Forget about it i have tried emailing them so many times now my brain hurts i just need to recover my damn password so i can play my game.

anyone else have the same issues.

Also that new site they got thats a invite only website so no registered game users can be on that site unless you are invited by novalogic. Kinda bogus i think.
nologic is improving.wrote on Dec 21, 2008 at 22:50
they have a new game website and still havn technical issues but are improving there.

What can i say? Delta Force says it all, and we all know what delta force is!!And its about time that a new one comes out, ive been a huge fan of NovaLogic for sometime now, there games always stand out from the rest, and with the technology we have today, i yhink they will use it to the max, no more battlefield, it will now be Delta Force!!! Cant wait to see some pics

Black Hawk Down was the greatest multi player 1st person shooter of all time period.
What ruined the delta force series was drivable vehicles and giant maps.
If they keep weapon accuracy and emphasize CQC action then this will be a great success.
I wish these jokers would have used the crytek engine for Angel Falls and also gave it a better name.
Also some blood and gore would help it and some good anti cheat support. (Steam Rocks)

Black Hawk Down with Team Sabre is a lot more fun to play online than C2D4 will ever be. I really hope NovaLogic puts out a viable update to this franchise, as even with the dated graphics, it is a better online game.

Novaworld has been down now for allmost 2 weeks in a row, including the forums and stuff. I've done a search on the California bankruptcy companies database with no results on wether novalogic has indeed gone bankrupt or not, anyone can elaborate on this matter?
